In Large Family Logistics, author Kim Breneman suggests a Kitchen Day. At first I thought that meant to 'clean the kitchen all day.' Nope. It's a day to be very productive and get ahead with food.
I've already conquered Laundry Day. :)
Today, I have made:
French Bread
Hamburger Buns
Hot Dog Buns
Cinnamon Swirl Bread
All the recipes came from this AWESOME book.
Applesauce is in the slow cooker as we speak. I made a big batch of pinto beans for dinner on Monday, and today I made the leftovers into refried beans. Those are going into the freezer when they've cooled. I'ved grilled chicken for future salads. Mexican Chocolate Bread is next on the list. If I had a deep freeze, I'd do more, but I'm happy with what I have!
Yesterday I had Office Day. I was able to organize a mound of papers, magazine clippings, recipes, and homeschool stuff on my computer desk into binders.
Tomorrow is Town Day (or Errand Day, since I already live in Town).
