Why Christians MUST be Political

If you care about babies, please read on.

If you believe that life begins at conception, please read on.

If you're not "politically active," please humor me for the next couple of minutes.

Since 1973, legalized abortion has been a blight on the face of this nation. Year after year after year we allow doctors across this country to take the life of a baby before it's allowed to enter this world. The methods are heinous. There is no way to sugar-coat it. It's murder, plain and simple.

We call ourselves a Christian nation, while allowing the daily murder of babies to continue under the guise of "choice." The numbers vary depending on the source, but most sources agree that over 3,000 times per day in America, a pregnant mother walks into an abortion clinic to end the life of her baby.

It's sad. It's reprehensible. If you allow yourself to dwell on it for even a minute, it's overwhelming. And the details of those abortions are so gruesome that even I cannot bring myself to read or hear about them without becoming sick to my stomach.

So how in the world are we to reverse this problem?

Here's where it turns political. Vote. Elections matter.

My first recommendation is to get as many Democrats out of Congress as possible. The Democratic party is the Abortion party. Plain and simple. It's their number one issue. They guard it like their lives depend upon it. (Ironic, huh?)

But don't stop there. Choose your Republicans wisely. There are way too many RINOs (Republican In Name Only) who are not conservative, and are certainly not pro-life. They must be avoided at all cost.

We have, in the Congress right now, quite a few very conservative Republicans who would reverse Roe V. Wade, and also stop federal funding of Planned Parenthood. But they are in the minority. They need a majority in both the House and the Senate, and a Pro-Life President who will support them, and who will appoint Pro-Life judges to the Supreme Court.

Every vote counts. Every election matters. I cannot stress this enough. If there is one issue that must be changed in this nation, it is that legalized abortion must end.

This is not a political issue. This is a moral issue. And it certainly cannot be ignored by Christians. If you are a Christian and you "don't get involved with politics," then SHAME ON YOU. We have been given a privilege that not many countries have, and that is the privilege to affect the laws of our nation simply by getting out to vote. And in this case, we can save the lives of millions in the process.
