Our family loves using Audible for downloading audio books. We use them on iPods and occasionally burn a CD with them. Listening to stories at bedtime has always been a tradition for us. (My 14 year old has a CD/clock radio that has an iPod hook-up, so she's extra modern!)
But did you know that Audible Kids has many Five in a Row titles for less than $1? I downloaded several (Blueberries for Sal, Make Way for Ducklings, Corduroy) for just .69 each!
My children really enjoy our FIAR studies, so to have these stories available to listen to at bedtime just reinforces what they learned during our weekly studies. Besides, it's just plain fun! I also got several Beatrix Potter stories for .69.
You can join Audible for just $7.49 a month for the first three months, and get 1 book credit per month. And members get substantial discounts on all audiobooks in their library. After the first three months, you pay $14.99 per month. I have found this is still well worth the money, since unabridged versions of the books we like are always more than $14.99. One credit = one book, regardless of the price listed!
